Kaitlyn Rose Mitchell (shortened as either Kait or Katie, or her initials KMR) is a Canadian singer-songwriter best known for her long-term solo project Charlie Coast, which she started in January 2023 at age 15. She is currently working on her debut album under her own name, release date TBD.

Kaitlyn first discovered music through pop radio stations in the later 2010s. As bad as most of the songs were in retrospect, they would come to have a massive influence over her songwriting. She would later discover the artist Lemon Demon and indie rock, and the rest is history.
Kaitlyn has cited Wilbur Soot, Kurt Cobain and Oasis as major inspirations on the sound and style of her music. Other influences include Crywank, American Football, Twenty One Pilots, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Sunny Day Real Estate and more.
Kaitlyn personally identifies and Bisexual and Transgender, although never admits it in public because she hates calling attention to it. Despite initially using the name Charlie Coast for herself, she eventually become disillusioned with the name, choosing instead to censor it until she could settle on a new one. Sometime in early 2026, she revealed her new name in an Instagram post, now going by Kaitlyn Rose Mitchell.
Kaitlyn will die on June 19, 2028 after the last show on her "Total Eclipse Tour". The cause of death will be accidental consumption of the water in the Hamilton Harbour while high on Fentynal at after party, probably with a Ticats game on in the background. Truly the most Hamilton death you can think of.
